minimalist makeup collection 2016

If you haven’t checked out my makeup declutter post, click here to see how I was able to down size my collection this size! My collection is definitely not a small enough size to fit into one travel bag, but I am super happy about how much I was able to cull. I use a lot of what I own on a regular basis.

If you’re interested in seeing what I bring with me traveling (which I do fairly frequently), let me know!

So let’s begin!

I like to keep my vanity surface as clean as possible, so I only have two brush containers, my small mirror, and my larger mirror.

(We’re going to ignore the smudges & pretend I always keep my mirrors spotless and free of random mascara marks)

Brush holders: Re-purposed candle holders from the Illume Candle Company (On sale for $4.99)

Small Vanity Mirror: Mirrorvana from Amazon (On sale $4.99)

Large Vanity Mirror: Ikea Kolja $9.99

Brushes: all my brushes are from either Soobest(Amazon), E.L.F Cosmetics, or Studio 35 Beauty (Walgreens)

I love this desk because it has the perfect sized drawer to fit everything I need! It’s nice and shallow as well!

The plastic square containers are actually from Goodwill and I got them for about $1.25 a piece!

Now let’s get to my actual makeup!

Also, I am on the hunt for updating my collection to be more vegan and cruelty free. Any suggestions of vegan products you love?

  3. Wow! What a difference between your first makeup purge! I’ve made huge progress in minimizing the stuff in my life but makeup sure is hard to let go of–I love bright eyeshadows too much. I’d love to see a post about what you travel with 🙂

    • It’s definitely hard! I guess I was thinking that since this is a hobby of mine, I’m going to be okay with bringing new stuff in, as long as I was good about giving away what doesn’t get love.
I’m going to be traveling very soon, so it’ll be the perfect time to post about that! 🙂
